Professor Renee Chevraux, MSW

Who is your Instructor?

Renee Chevraux has been involved with older adults her entire life. She was raised by her Grandmother while her parents worked and was surrounded by all of her Grandparents who lived well into their eighties. Interested in people and different cultures, she pursued a degree in Anthropology. She also holds a license in Vocational Nursing and has worked in skilled nursing and clinical practices. Later in her own life, she pursued a Master's in Social Work with an emphasis in Health. As her interest in aging continued, she completed a Graduate Certificate in Gerontology from Sacramento State University in 2001. She has taught various classes in Gerontology at American River College for eight years and also works as a Medical Social Worker in Nevada County.
