Yes, I believe she is trying to analyse the poem she chose. And she uses symbolism in a way to do so.

The author of “To An Athlete Dying Young,” uses an artistic and creative approach to showing symbolism to his audience.

5) Does the writer explicitly show how this evidence supports his/her view? Are connections made for the reader? Yes, with the qotes th writer provides, the write also analyses them using symbolism.

7) Is there additional evidence which the writer has missed? No I don't think so.

8) Does the conclusion sum up the writer's point? Yes I believe so. The writer concluded her thesis.
