I agree that the story lacks sufficent information. The story does not privide enough backround information, or information in general like the play does. The play is able to connect you to characters and relate them to a certain type of person. When the reader is able to understand a character the actions throughout the story are going to be easier to understand. I agree also that a play will always give more backround information because their are actors and actions, but not words that the audience can read.
