>I think the play gives much more intimate contact with the characters. Even the first couple paragraphs that differ between the two leave out importnat information. The play starts in Mrs. Hale's kitchen and it gave you some insight into what kind of a person she is. The reader could get to know Mrs. Hale a little better before the story really even started. Having the play start at an esrlier time period than the story the pkay was able to achieve a more intimate relationship with the characters. The title "A Jury of Her Peers" give the emphasis that Mrs. Wright's jury are her peers and her nieghbors. They are the ones whoa re judging her and decididng whether to inform the men of their finding. The women found the dead bird, which provided a motive for the murder.

I think that you have alot of valid points and I actually agree with your opinions. When you said that that kitchen gives Mrs. Hale's character some personality, I agree. It leads me to believe that she may not have done it becasue she was so into her kitchen, but it also makes you think that she was going insane and can't remember what was going on.
