I definitly agree with your idea of how the title of the poem ties to the theme of the story. The idea and title of the poem leads perfectly into the theme of the story. The story shows a struggling family with dreams. Walters dreams of owning a liquor store wilted away when Willy ran off with all his money. I think the family in the story stuggled with thier dreams just as explained in the poem.
