I agree that the Younger family did struggle with oppresion and discrimination. There dreams were always deferred by some reason or another. They had hugh hopes and dreams and were able to battle through the hardships together. The family definitly stood firmly beside their dreams of a better future. The Younger family shows what happens when their dreams become deferred.
