Hi,Emily
The poem by Langston Hughes "Harlem" relates with the play "A Raisin in the Sun",I totally agree with you. The Young family went ahead and move on to their new home no matter what prejudice and racism they have to confront in the future. I gave Walter a lot of credit for not selling the house. He made his family very happy. He learned his lesson for trusting his friends now their dreams were put off. Lena mention in the play that before freedom was life and Walter said the money was life, so I guess this time Lena and the family were free for getting out of the apartment. Walter and Beneatha have to continue dreaming and work hard to accomplish their dreams.
