You are right agree with you that’s what I thought too that Edna felt like a bird in a cage. All what Edna want it, was some freedom and independence. I admire Edna I think she was very brave and did not care what society would said about her. The Seneca Falls Declaration of Sentiments relates some with her because that fact she fought for her independence. Now this days thanks god we all independent and we fight for our equal rights. I think back in those days the wife’s were a little intimidate by their husbands or maybe society expected that from housewife’s. Edna discovered her awakening, she was different than other woman and very brave.
