I believe that The Seneca Falls Declaration of Sentiments is a very important document in understanding the main idea of the novel. The document is written in the form of Declaration of Independence, which underlines one of the main ideas of the novel - women's rights and their gender role.
I think that The Seneca Falls Declaration of Sentiments helps the reader to better understand why Edna felt that she was enslaved by her marriage and why she couldn't find any happiness in her life.
