I agree that that society in which women had no rights is very hard to imagine and I can say that I am thankful that society has progressed as much as it has in regards to women's rights. It seems strange to think about and I would never want a woman who was simply resigned to have no will of her own. Thank God for the progressive women like Kate Chopin's Edna who stood up for themselves, and unknowingly women everywhere.
