I agree that once you determine that a line in a metaohor then it is much easier to understand. Going through the elements then back through the poem again helped me see the metaphors. The metaphors were in fact the lines that were confsuing to me. I as well was still somewhat confused on what was going on with the man and his mistress. There are many ideas that one could stumble on about what exactly in going on with the man and woman.
