Dyne EifertsenDr. Dyne Eifertsen

Dyne Eifertsen is a performer, educator, clinician, and composer. He earned a bachelor of music degree in trombone performance from Berklee College of Music in Boston and a master of music degree in trombone performance from the University of Massachusetts at mherst. Among his trombone teachers have been Phil Wilson, Tom Plsek, David Sporny and Don Immel. Dyne is freelance musician and a member of the Sacramento music group the Kairos Quartet, that released its latest CD, "riverrun" to high praise. Performances include the Capital Jazz Project, Sacramento Philharmonic, Sacramento Ballet, Seattle Creative Orchestra, and Tacoma Symphony. Dyne recently completed a doctoral degree in trombone performance at the University of Washington.


Joe GilmanJoe Gilman

BM Indiana University, MM Eastman School of Music, EdD University of Sarasota. Performed with Bobby Hutcherson, Eddie Harris, Woody Shaw, Slide Hampton, Capital Jazz Project. Studied with David Baker, James Tocco, Bill Dobbins, Rayburn.





Jeff has toured the world performing as a saxophonist with the likes of Ray
Charles, John Lee Hooker, Terry Gibbs, Joe Farrell, Charlie Haden, Art Lande,
Chuck Isreals, Eddie Marshall, Bobby Shew, John Patitucci and John Stowell.
Jeff studied at Berklee College of Music and California Institute of the Arts
where he earned B.F.A. and M.F.A. degrees in Jazz Performance. After
graduating, he moved to Australia to join the Jazz Studies program as a full-
time faculty member of Adelaide University. Now back in the States, Jeff
teaches jazz courses at several colleges in California, repairs instruments and
performs his music. His two independent CDs Tak‚in Notes and Another Day
