Welcome to “Wellness for Older Adults”.
You may or may not be an older adult but this class is beneficial to everyone for a very obvious reason, “Everyday, you wake up and you get older, it’s the law”.   You might remember that line from the movie the “Sundance Kid”.  If you are still in your 20’s or 30’s, “Wow, I envy you”.  There is still time to be building up your bone bank.  For those of you in your 40’s, now is the time that you can start slowing down the effects of aging.  For those of you in your 50’s, it’s even more important to continue or start an exercise program….there is still plenty of time to have a positive effect on our aging.   Are you 60, 70 or beyond…..it’s never too late.  Each day you wake up you can become physiologically younger, by making the right lifestyle choices.  Need help in knowing what those beneficial lifestyle choices are….that’s why we are here.   The information taken in this class can be applied to you, your parents, your kids, your aunts and uncles, your older neighbor , your clients,….everyone gets older, we all must age, it’s the law….. but we all don’t have to suffer disease and disability.  I am here to help you learn how to take about the body in which you live and also to help you succeed in this class.

You may contact me at:   allenj@arc.losrios.edu  Monday-Friday 8-5 p.m.  You will receive an answer to your email within 24 hours.  If you email me after 4 p.m. on Friday you may not receive a reply until the following Monday.
