1/12/04                    SACRAMENTO SOLAR CAR SPRINT COMPETITION MEETING

Update on competition rules, racetrack and prizes to be awarded.

1/22/04                    SETRC STEERING COMMITTEE MEETING

                                Planning and coordinating this year’s events.

                                CSUS School of Engineering and Computer Science, 4:30 p.m.-6:00 p.m.

 

2/6/04                      SECOND ANNUAL ENERGY FORUM FOR EDUCATORS

                                Fuel cell technology and hands-on workshop for educators.  All participants will receive a solar/fuel cell car kit.

3/12/04                    INDUSTRY SYMPOSIUM FOR COUNSELORS

Industry and education interactive forum on industry trends, high-demand occupations and preparing qualified students for the workplace.

3/26/04                    PARALLAX INC. BOE-BOT WORKSHOP

A full day of interactive learning introducing microcontrollers and robotics.  Each participant will leave with their own programmable robot.  Limited space.  Registration fee $25-

Parallax Inc., Rocklin, CA 8:00am-3:00pm

 

3/27/04                    Young Engineers Session (YES) WORKSHOP

Hands-on technology workshop for 7th and 8th grade girls.  Offered in partnership with the Society of Women Engineers, Sacramento Valley Section.

 

5/15/04                    SACRAMENTO SOLAR CAR SPRINT COMPETITION

Student built solar cars participate in a competition against other local schools.  Prizes for fastest and best designed vehicles.  Lunch will be provided.  Revised date, location and time!

American River College, 10:30 a.m.-3:00 p.m.

 

5/20/04                    SETRC END OF THE YEAR RECOGNITION BANQUET

Held on the historic riverboat, the Delta King, a great chance to network with your colleagues, and hear about the year’s activities and accomplishments.

 6/21-6/25                POWERING YOUR FUTURE SUMMER CAMP

Especially designed for high school girls, this is an exciting week of technology education.  Activities include; building and programming a Parallax Boe-Bot, building and racing a solar car, learning the     basics of Computer Aided Drafting, the basics of electronics…and much more!!
