| In addition to your textbook, other course materials will be posted on the course website at http://blackboard.losrios.edu | |
| Visit the site
and bookmark it so that it is easy to return when you
need to get something or communicate.
| You only need
a web browser to view the web pages.
| In general, I will contact students separately only when the issue is a private one. All students are assigned an iMail account upon registering with ARC. It is vital that you activate your iMail account and configure it with your preferred e-mail address so it will forward all emails sent to your iMail account. You should check your mail regularly and connect to the course website regularly to check for important announcements and postings on the 'Announcements' page and course discussion boards. |
· The Schedule provided outlines chapters to be covered as well as due dates, test dates, and other information pertaining to this class. Information on this document is subject to modification as the semester proceeds. Any modifications will be published on the 'Announcements' page of the course in BlackBoard. Due date and test date changes will be announced no less than one week before they are effective. Assignments and tests will not be given any earlier than scheduled, their dates will only be made later than originally noted.
· It
is strongly recommended that you complete the practice exercises as
you read through the chapter material.
· Once
you have finished reading the chapter and doing the practice
activities, you should complete the Assignments indicated on
the Schedule of Assignments and submit them to the instructor.
· Quizzes
will available online for a set time period only. They must be
completed and submitted by the due date. Further instructions will
be provided at a later date.
· Late
means any time after the date that the work is due. Late work
will be accepted for three days after the due date but will be reduced
to one half of the points earned. Late work will not be accepted if
it is more than one week late.
· See
directions below for submitting assignments and other assessments.
· Students should submit assignments via the Digital DropBox on the Blackboard course website by 11:59 PM of the due date.
· Please
put LA 300 online in the subject line of any e-mail you send
me. Not doing so may result in no response on my part.
· To
ensure there is no confusion about whose e-mail is being received,
please also add your name in the subject line of the email.
· For
example: Your subject line should LA 300 online Susie Smith.
Grades

It is the student's responsibility to officially drop the class if that is their choice. The instructor will not drop students.
