Instructor's Home

I graduated from San Joaquin Delta College with a degree in nursing and practiced, mostly in the family planning area, for 10 years.

Law school was my next adventure.  After successfully negotiating McGeorge School of Law and the California Bar Exam I opened my own practice.  A couple of years later an opportunity presented itself for me to work as an in-house counsel for a multi-national company.

My area of expertise was compliance with governmental regulations.  I enjoyed the work very much but found that I did not adjust to dealing with 'office politics' very well and returned to my own practice advising small business owners in a variety of matters. Several of my clients were artists and I began advising various artist groups regarding copyright law.

When an offer was made for me to teach at a private law school I took it.  Eventually, I became their first full-time law instructor. A couple of years into that, they asked me to head up and teach in their Legal Assisting Bachelor degree program.  I thoroughly enjoyed that experience and quite eagerly moved into teaching at the community college level, where I have been ever since.

Each new semester is like a brand-new start. I look forward to meeting new students and seeing returning students as they complete their academic goals.
