Mapping of the tomato Mi gene

(The Mi gene is located at 39.5 cM on the genetic map of chromosome 6. The Aps-1 gene located nearby at 40.6 cM has been used as a linked marker to identify progeny that are likely to have coinherited the Mi gene. Locating the Mi gene on the physical map of the tomato genome has allowed identification of many marker genes that are linked more closely to the Mi gene than the Aps-1 gene.)
