Small Group Project: Community College Institutional Report. Students will
organize themselves into small groups
during the first class session. Each group will choose a
community college to explore and report to the class. A list of
community colleges will be made available from which each
group will choose. A contact person will be arranged at each
college to facilitate the team's work. Each group will
present its chosen institution at the last session, February 27. A written
report of the group's work is due at that session as
well.
The community college institutional report should include the following:
Institutional Profile, including Student Population and
Demographics

Decision-Making Processes, including Faculty Roles
Academic Affairs (Programs and Curricula)
Teaching Approaches and Strategies (including use of
Technology)
Instructional Support: Learning Resources and Faculty
Development
Student Services, Outreach and Support
