Cherokee Village is the Premier Resort Community in Northeastern Arkansas. Developed in 1954, Cherokee Village is now the Year Round residence of more than 4,600 people. Cherokee Village is just off highway 62 between the towns of Hardy and Ash Flat. This locale provides an excellent variety of tourism, shopping, & leisure-time activities.

Hardy, AR 72542, is a small town in the Ozark Mountains of Northeast Arkansas. You are invited to see and enjoy its charming atmosphere! While in Hardy, be sure to walk the old-fashioned Main Street from the 1940’s. Choose from over 80 shops, including great local crafts of the Ozark Mountains. The Spring River, which flows through Hardy, is in a class by itself. Created by the tremendous flow from Mammoth Spring , the cool, clear stream provides excellent trout fishing and canoeing throughout the year. In addition to rainbow trout, the river has good population of walleye and smallmouth bass. Canoe rentals are available all along the favored white water sections: from Mammoth Spring to Hardy. South Fork, a tributary of the Spring, is also known for great walleye and smallmouth bass action, especially during the spring months. Strawberry River, a spring-fed stream that cuts across the southern part of Sharp County, is the perfect float stream for beginners because it features a moderate flow and few rapids.

In Ash Flat, AR, you can dine at a fine choice of restaurants, or shop at the Super Wal-Mart and other modern stores. Ash Flat is also the County Seat. This is a beautiful area of the Ozarks in Northeastern Arkansas

Cherokee Village has more than 20 Church organizations. There are more than 100 active hobby, religious and political clubs and organizations in the area for men, women, children and teens, so you can take part in whatever activities suit your fancy!

Cherokee Village is located within the Highland School District, and all of the District Schools are located within Cherokee Village. Highland Schools are fully accredited and have a student teacher ratio which is well within the guidelines for quality education. A complete curriculum is offered in grades K through 12, and also all major sports programs including golf and tennis are offered. The school has always been very competitive in sports, having won championships in many. Cherokee Village is also in an area of Arkansas that affords easy access to many schools of higher learning, including State and Private colleges and universities and technical schools and colleges. Many of these schools are within daily commuting distances, and some have bus services to the area on a daily basis. Public schools in Cherokee Village include: Cherokee Elementary School, Highland Middle School, and Highland High School.

Cherokee Village has a full time police, fire, rescue and medical facilities as well as a 40 bed hospital.

Electricity, water, and telephone are in the area, but are not in place to this lot at this time. Septic Tanks are used in Cherokee Village.

Taxes are less than $5.00 per annum and due before October 10th, 2003. There are no POA or SID fees on these lots. You can keep these lots for many years without the additional cost of POA fees.
