I preferred listening to the play to reading the writing. I did enjoy the writing because it allowed me to imagine my own description of the characters. Yet the play almost took me to the scene of the crime. I felt the cold of the winter. The discovery of the bird being killed was emphasized in greater detail as it was acted out. It was because of the play’s energy that I preferred it to the writing.
