Edna Pontellier and Adele Ratignolle.These two women were the opposite, one was the typical housewife “Adele” and the other one was more modern wife “ Edna” Adele took care of her children and husband and was devoted to her family. Edna was very independent. She thought more about herself, she wanted to find new things in life. She defitely was modern woman. She not care what society would said about her.
Mr. Pontellier and Rober had a lot in common both like money and both love Edna. The only differences were that Robert care for Edna’s feelings and Mr. Pontellier did not care so much if he hurt Edna’s feelings. He only care to show society his power and control over his family. Another differences between these two men were the age. Mr. Montellier was older than Robert.
