In a way I agree because Edna was just following societal norms and pressures in her getting married she did what she thought she was supposed to do. Who knows maybe she never discovers this part of her feelings if she does not get married when she does or to the type of Alpha Male that she gets married to. I believe the Seneca falls declaration made a lot of people think at the time and was very clever in pointing out the hypocrisy of society at the time.
