Extra Credit-Package Redesign - 20 Pts if submitted by due date-15 Dec (no late work will be given credit)

This extra credit exercise will require all the techniques you've learned in Illustrator to redesign a package label. You will need to find a product with an label design that you feel can be improved. The project is in two parts:

1) Find a product that needs your design skill! You should consider shelf appeal (is it eye-catching for shoppers?), does the label "fit" and attract the target audience? Is it readable? Would you buy the product based on the label?

2) Based on your creative genius and design skills you will redesign the original package label in Illustrator. The label must include all the stuff you'd find on a label. Ingredients, company name, attractive graphics, even the bar code. Itmay be one long label (like a peeled off can label) or the front and back of a package label) Send me the final Illustrator file by the extra credit due date in the Label Redesign-Extra Credit Dropbox. Make sure fonts are viewable...that means you will have to save as embedded or create outlines. Be sure to include the original scan of the label, along with your redesign, in one ai file.

Note: You can use any product except video games, CDs or DVDs.
