Checklist
In order to prepare
yourself for this course and to maintain your enrollment, you
MUST complete each of the following orientation tasks. Please
take note that all of these items must be completed and
submitted by Monday,
March 15. This includes reading all of
the information on each of the documents and links included.
If you fail to complete any of these items by the stated due
date, you can be dropped from the course.

Review the
Syllabus for Nutrition 300. Make sure that you read the
Syllabus carefully and that you understand all of
the information contained within this document.

Review the information regarding
Courtesy and Academic Conduct. Click on the following link
to view and read content:

Review information regarding
Netiquette. Click on the following link to access "The
Ten
Core Rules of Netiquette", and access and read the
information contained in the links for the Introduction
and Rules 1-5:

Review information regarding e-mail etiquette.
From the Yale University website, access and read each
linked item from the "General" all
the way through to "Sources." Click on the
following link to read about e-mail etiquette:

You must
have an enabled e-mail account for this course. You may use
any e-mail address that you wish, but it must be an account
that you check on a daily basis. Also, please use
only one e-mail
account from which you will correspond for this course.
If you do no already have one, you can use the following
link to activate your ARC iMail account:

After reading all of the above documents, links, and
information, you must confirm that you have completed the
Online Orientation. In order to do so, send an e-mail to Professor Giusti using your
chosen e-mail
account and include the following:
A) Subject Line-
throughout the semester, the subject line for all e-mails to Professor
Giusti should read exactly as follows:
NUTRITION 300
ONLINE. If you do not use the correct subject line,
then your message will be filtered out, and I will not receive your e-mail.
B) Body of the e-mail message: Include the following: i.
Your full name ii.
Your student ID# iii.
Your enrollment status ("Enrolled", "Waitlist", "Not on wait
list but want to add") iv.
The Nutrition 300 section # for which you are enrolled or
trying to add
v. Acknowledgement that you have read,
understand, and agree to abide by all of the
information and policies contained in the Online Orientation.

If you
have access, go to Desire2Learn (D2L) and begin reviewing
the Announcements and Discussion Board information
(including FAQ Board).
Typically, students will not have access until March 12.
