Welcome to the American River College Vocal Jazz site. We invite you to join us at our concerts, purchase any of our CDs, and, most importantly, to come sing with us. At ARC, we offer courses in both group and solo jazz singing: Vocal Jazz Ensemble; Jazz Choir; and Jazz/Pop Styles Class.

The advanced Vocal Jazz Ensemble has earned a reputation as a top quality ensemble, having earned 16 DownBeat Awards, and the honor of performing for many local, state, national, and international audiences.

The Jazz Choir is a larger ensemble, where student singers can learn the skills necessary for the more advanced ensemble or just ‘hang’ and get the flavor of what jazz group singing is all about!

And the Jazz/Pop Styles Class is a wonderful place to work on your individual jazz vocal style.
