Generally a short story will bring the reader into more intimate contact with each character. This because, unlike drama, short stories will usually describe the emotions behind each character. Short stories generally give the reader more character development. Since dramas are meant to be performed, usually there is no back-story behind the character. Drama will only show the reader the dialogue between the two characters. Only through dialogue can the reader understand the situation and expression of motivation. Usually dramas focus more on action, then emotion.
