Class FAQ

Blackboard
Most of the course is posted outside of Blackboard, but announcements, quizzes, grades, and an overview of due dates can be found on Blackboard.  Also, you can email the entire class, individual classmates, and me, from the Blackboard site.  I do post announcements there, but I also email a copy of the announcement to you.

Introductions  Read all carefully before moving on.

Your introduction should include some information about yourself and your experience with online classes, or if this is your first online class, your fears/expectations about taking an online course.

Here's how:

Click on the Discussion link in menu on the left and then on Introductions.  Practice posting  by adding your own introduction as a new message (the Post Message link at the top will open a form to write in; then SCROLL DOWN to the POST MESSAGE button to post what you have written).

Then practice replying to classmates by clicking on their introductions, reading what they have to say and using the Post Followup link at the top and writing a reply to that student.  After you have finished writing your reply, SCROLL DOWN to the SUBMIT FOLLOWUP button to post your reply.  If you have completed the task correctly, your reply should be indented under the person's post that you are answering.
