Triticale - breeders produce a new species of crop plant
Breeders have combined durum wheat and rye to produce triticale, which has a
larger gene pool than is present in either of the parent crops.
Long Description: Durum wheat and rye were hybridized using embryo culture and chromosome doubling to produce the new species triticale.
